I heard the door open and then close and then little scampering feet running. Then someone's little voice says, "Hey Mama! I'm awake. Daddy's sleeping. Sssshhhh." Then those little scampers came upstairs where I was and someone's little face and little finger got in my face and said, "Sssshhh. Sssshhh. Sssshhh. I wanna play a game." And I'm the awesome mother who at midnight just said okay. Someday me and V will be on a normal sleeping schedule...when I decide it's worth the effort...which I decide when I'm tired in the middle of the night and someone's same little face is in my face saying, "Mama! Hi mama!" And then for some reason I disregard the motivation I had in the middle of the night. That is all.
