Swimming.

Vidalia went swimming for the first time yesterday.  She wasn't scared or anything, she just went to town chewing her floaty.  She wasn't grumpy until I put her in the car seat to go home.  Once we got home, we got changed and she went straight down for a LONG nap.  I think we should go swimming more often.
Sadly, I forgot to get a picture of her in at least her swimming suit, so you get this cute face instead.  Next time I'll make sure to grab the camera.

Sleeping

Sometimes Vidalia doesn't think that she should sleep.  This is fine, except for when I know she is tired.  Then sometimes I leave her because sometimes I'm just too much fun or something and when I leave she isn't so excited anymore.  Then I'll come back shortly after when she is more tired than wanting to play and napping goes smoothly.  Sometimes when I come back, she looks like this.

Well that was easy.

Fohawks are bad

Unless you're a baby.
 As you can see.

You may wonder...

What is this?
I think I know.
I think it is the inside of my pocket (or diaper bag), but only one knows for sure.

Thanks phone for the hundreds of these beautiful photos you take to clog your memory.  I love deleting them one at a time.  I only wish it could last a little longer.

P.S.  Next time, please include a title.  This time I picked one for you...

You're welcome.

When I see these pictures

I think of the super quoted Robert Frost poem.  Anyone else?

Little by Little

She's getting really good at getting what she wants, although sometimes it takes her a little while.  ;)

This Thing

This thing has been roaming around our house ever since we got married.  I don't know what it is or why we have it.  Whenever it is found again Ryan says, "Oh, Salli wrote though, not Andy."  Then he suggests that we take a picture of it.  We've taken quite a few pictures of it, I think.  Then it usually disappears until it is found again, although, I know exactly where it is right now.  (Sitting awkwardly on the stairs because it's not mine and I don't know what to do with it.)

Happy Father's Day!

We want to say Happy Father's day to all daddies, but especially these ones:

And especially especially to this daddy:

We love you!

Parks

We love parks and the Parks.  We love both.  This is about parks though, not people.

Holding a Bottle

Vidalia is getting better and better at this.  It makes me super happy.  I was super disappointed when we weren't able to nurse, but feeding herself with no assistance is a serious upside to all the downsides that came with formula.

Tooth

I tried to take a picture.

It didn't go down well and was completely unsuccessful!

P.S. Despite how it may appear, I was not hurting her, just trying to get her mouth open.
P.P.S.  She has two teeth now.  Her two front teeth, but on the bottom.

Diaper Change

Remember how Ryan likes to change Vidalia's diaper in public?  He thinks she's cute and takes pictures too.  (I also think she is cute, but have never taken pictures while changing her diaper.)

Vidalia Tries Peas

Vidalia HATES peas and now won't even eat rice cereal, which of course, she loves.  Any suggestions?  I guess we'll just wait this one out a bit.  :)

FHE

This is our FHE chart.  I printed it off the internet, we colored it, and covered it with tape to make it look laminated.  The goal is that this will help us have better, more focused family home evenings.  I think it will work. No more, "It's time for Family Home Evening, do you want to give the lesson?"

Arabic

Sometimes I read books to Vidalia in Arabic.  It's a shame how much I have forgotten (I need to work on that). Maybe if I keep reading them to her she'll know more Arabic than me.  Hmmm?
