I was thinking about Labor Day and wondered, why does it exist? It seems like there is a reason for most holidays and I had no idea why there is a Labor Day. I read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labor_Day article and am still a little baffled at the why, but I like holidays, so happy end of summer! (I hope we're all ready for it to start getting cold.)
It's funny. Mom and I talked about the purpose of labor day on Monday too. We couldn't come up with anything, but I was wondering what it had to do with flags because there were flags out everywhere. But I'm with you. I wasn't complaining that Matt didn't have to work. That's for sure.
