New Goal

Hi Everyone!
I will now post a goal that I have:
Earn $10,000 by November 7th.
My reason why is so that I can immediately sign up for the advanced mentoring course with Strongbrook to become a facilitator and also pay back my parents the money they lent to us.

Have I written nothing on this blog about Strongbrook's mentoring program??
It's been amazing! My life is better than it has ever been, better than I thought it could be in this mortal life. A lot of the difficulties I struggled with (such as feeling enthusiasm only rarely or being defensive and insecure, etc.), I truly believed were my lot to deal with for this life and only after passing on to the next would I be freed from them. I am feeling joy more and more often, not only that but passion! I love feeling passion! I am more and more patient with other people, especially Melissa, for I hear feedback as information now, without any emotions attached to it.

As Melissa put it, she went away to Toronto for 5 weeks and when she came back, she had a better marriage :).

So I performed miracles in my own life in the past few weeks with the help of this program and the guidance of my Heavenly Father! Essentially, I have had the opportunity to examine and unlearn unhealthy patterns that are of a telestial nature. So, I am inspired to become a facilitator in this course.

We are intent on being fully prepared to serve God in whatever way he wants us to; to build God's kingdom in any way we are called. Heavenly Father wants us to be wealthy socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, financially, and mentally that we may be in the best position to bring about his eternal purposes and ours!

I also want to do this because I am sure that as I train to become a facilitator I will uncover more of my own limitations; as I face them and turn them around I will become more and more like my Savior Jesus Christ and feel a greater abundance of joy in my life continually.

I invite you to pray for me to achieve this goal. :)

"I want to get rid of my bad feelings."

Vidalia just told me that, but first she told me this...

"It's my action to get rid of my bad feelings and bring in my nice nice feelings."

The she stated,

"I want to get rid of my bad feelings."

Then she told me,

"But I still get angry at myself."

I'm glad to hear her say some of this.  Part of me wants to know how much of what she's saying she understands...

Dream Sharing

I want to capture here a pleasant exchange that Melissa, Vidalia, and I just had waking up. Vidalia's first words out of her mouth today were "But he's in his bumbo!" She denied dreaming about someone in a bumbo.
        My dream was that the Forensics unit of the Utah State Hospital was an oil rig in the ocean, far from any land. It was organized into four pillars, all closely connected. The very bottom decks belonged to the patients; the rooms were less than tidy. Patients did basic jobs for about 5-20 hours a week including vacuuming, serving food, cleaning tables, etc. much like they do in real life. Finally, in the middle decks there were bars that patients had access to all times of the day; they could roam around the oil rig freely. One even had a dog. Interesting dream.
        Vidalia's other dreams were that a caterpillar went in the water and opened his eyes underwater; he was very comfortable in the water. She also dreamt that lots and lots of friends came over to play. They were nice to her and then they went home. Then more friends came to visit and they were also nice to her.              It was a pleasant exchange!

In just a few hours Melissa and I will start our first mentoring session with Strongbrook. We are excited for the potential for growth and for shedding false beliefs of doubt and fear that hold us back and replacing them with better, healthier beliefs!

"I'm Melissa!"

Vidalia has started wearing my clothes all. the. time.  She gets dressed and then comes and shows me and says, "Hi!  I'm Melissa!"

Hand of The Lord

We've been frequently asking around the dinner table how we have seen the hand of The Lord in our lives that day.  This is what Vidalia said today,

"I just saw God not the hand of The Lord today.  And I like Jesus Christ, too.  Do you, too?"

Changing Perspectives

I did something quite extraordinary (for me at least) without thinking much about it. I threw half a bag of BBQ potato chips in the garbage! Now that might sound quite mundane, but anyone who knows me well knows my aversion to throwing away food. I still have an aversion to throwing away food but this time, I had a stronger aversion to putting something unhealthy in my body. 

Notes from League of Champions

This is training I'm doing right now with Strongbrook. We're talking about how to grow our business. Also, Strongbrook is preparing more and more data to back up their claims which I'm super excited about. I want to absorb all I can today.
   So I guess this blog post is mostly for me and not as much for our dear readers. When the student is ready, the teacher appears. We probably will be overwhelmed during this training. Some of this might be over my head now but will sink in later. Managing simple details such as what side of your chest you put your name sticker on will have a cumulative effect of success. Put your emotions into the system, not the result. Endorse for effort! Recruit 1st, sell 2nd. The business is more about who the people our contacts know than the people we know.

     Life ventures follow three steps.
1) Dream   2) Struggle    3) Victory
I am in all these steps right now but mostly dream and struggle.
We are in business for ourselves but not by ourselves. We are in business for ourselves not by ourselves. We build our business from event to event. What does that mean for my friends out-of-state?
   Connect people with similar backgrounds. Matt said that I am one of the most sincere people he knows and that makes me fun to be around. I got emotional about that because I knew he meant it. I told him that is evident that he had a deep and abiding interest in our welfare and well being.
        You are always one contact away from exploding your business. You are always one contact away from exploding your business. You are always one contact away from exploding your business. You cannot say the wrong thing to the right person and a no today is not necessarily a no tomorrow. Don't be afraid of walking away. Be willing to go through all the 2s, 4s, , jacks etc to get to the Aces.
   I think I am coming to understand why Heavenly Father wants me to continue in this business. Its level of success is directly proportional to me getting these priorities straight. It is a refining experience. I can't make any money if I am doing it to earn money, that is if I'm attached to the result.

Thoughts about Money

Hi! I've been listening to Robert Kiyosaki's audio book 3 Steps to Wealth or something like that. Anyway, the main thing that sticks with me from listening to Robert Kiyosaki; he masterfully teaches the idea that the average person can grow wealth and that wealth is not good or bad in and of itself (this especially is a paradigm that takes a lot of time and effort to uproot). I can make money in order to create more value (make the world a better place), I can even make money BY creating more value.
  some of my own thoughts: Jesus taught that the love of money is the root of all evil, but what about the hatred of money? Is that somehow a noble attitude to have? Is that how we apply Jesus' council?
  I can tell you from personal experience that hating money is miserable and counter-productive. I'm pretty sure what Jesus meant is to love eternal things more than temporal things, godly more than wordly things. So I want to quote Matt Parks in saying I like money, and if I treat it well, money will like me back :). It is a resource, just like time, just like words, etc.
  So, I like Robert Kiyosaki; he's a good teacher. But I wish that he would have stuck to writing books rather than organizing Real Estate Seminars that teach people but don't really help them really do Real Estate.

This is our first paycheck from Strongbrook Direct! The first of many we hope!
Regardless of what happens with this business we consider the fact that we have helped Melissa's parents take care of their financial future the best success we could have hoped for!

Vidalia's Doings

So this is funny.
   A few weeks ago, I started the microwave and left the kitchen briefly. I came back to see Vidalia holding up her hand to the microwave as if directing traffic. I went and gave her a high-five to which she replied "No, Dont' Clap Me!". I asked her why her hand was up and she told me that she was stopping the food from popping. Ever since then if Vidalia's around we hold our hand in front of the microwave to stop the popping; she instructs me to stand close, then to back up, then to come closer to the microwave and pull out the food.
