Because you all wanted me to puke pictures of the last half of last year on our blog...

Gideon's Hilarity and awesome New Record

             Gideon Ned is such a delightful, darling, beautiful boy that brings his family such joy. His current record for unassisted sitting is... 54 minutes 33 seconds! I would say that he officially can sit on his own now right? So because you understand that, you can appreciate the following story.

             As many of y'all know he has recently started giggling so much! One night long after he was supposed to be sleeping, we were playing a game on our bed and Gideon started falling over on purpose! He would wait until one of us made eye contact with him then very slowly and carefully lean one direction, follow over, then giggle hysterically! It was so hilarious! And it kept us all entertained for a very long time :)

Vidalia likes stories

Vidalia likes hearing stories. 3 nights in a row she asked for stories about Calvin (my googalie-in-law). I told her all the stories I know then started making up random things like "Calvin woke up, and ate some food, then went to school; is that a funny story?" Vidalia replied "Yeah, I ate some food and went to school with Calvin too!".

V is so funny with these stories, she insists she was there for any story you tell and often will repeat parts of the stories for days afterwards :)

Our newest nephew arrived today.

We're glad he made it safely.

And he has the fattest little baby face I've ever seen!

Gideon's doings

                Gideon's current record for unassisted sitting is... 37 seconds! The following day he almost beat that record with a time of 36 seconds. Yay Gideon!

I'm the Queen.

Vidalia has been telling me that she is the Queen.  I asked her what that means.

She said, "I'm the Queen.  I get to walk around like this (stomping her feet) and wear my hat.  I'm the Queen so I can rock and roll.  Gideon can be the Queen too.  He can rock around.  Look!  Do you like my rock and roll?"

What Vidalia said when she saw the snow falling...

"Wow!  That is so much snow falling!  Look the snow is falling.  So much snow! [Short pause]  I don't like it.  Oooh.  [Long pause]  I do like it.  These are my snow boots for playing in the snow."

Vidalia sayings

On Sunday, I had spent some time with Vidalia in one room then told her: "I'm going to go talk to Mommy; she's my friend and I want to talk to her." Vidalia protested but I left anyway. After a few minutes she called from the other room "Ry Guy!... Ry Guy!... Ur not Mommy's friend!"

Vidalia's sayings

                 On Sunday night (9/29/2013) we were reading scriptures; Vidalia was playing with a toy phone. She asked "Hi, people, How ARE you??" We were amused then but even more so when we heard her say "I'm in this room; I have my bum I have no byper (diaper)." It was then we realized that I had only taken the dirty one off and failed to put a new one on.

Today Vidalia...

Fell into the fountain at the temple.

Tried cottage cheese for the first time and then said, "Help me!  Help me!  My taste is dirty!"  I don't think she liked it.

Gave me a great big hug and said, "I love my mommy!"

I love moments like all of these.
